Daniel Crespo is solo trumpeter of the Philharmonic at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1. Trumpet of the Würth Philharmonic in Germany, member of the World Brass Association and Buffet Crampon artist.
He had his first early contact with music since his early childhood, thanks to the familiar musical environment that led him first to the piano and then to the guitar. At the age of 17 he decided to play the trumpet, which also became his profession. He completed an apprenticeship at the universities of Graz, Austria and Hamburg with Prof. Uwe Köller and Matthias Höfs, which he completed with a master's degree. During this time he made his first orchestral experience, for example in the famous Gustav Mahler youth orchestra under the direction of Claudio Abbado and in other well-known youth orchestras. After graduating, he completed 1 year of perfection with Prof. Rudi Korp at the Brass Academy Alicante in Spain.
His musical career began with guest appearances in large orchestras such as the SWR Symphonie Orchester Freiburg Baden-Baden, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Hamburg State Opera, the Boston Philharmonic, the Bilbao Sinfoniae Orkesta and the Qatar Philharmonic. As a scholarship holder of the Alfred Töpfer Foundation, he was for 1 year 3./1. Trumpeter of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. In the chamber musical field he is a permanent member of the Crespo Brass (www.crespobrass.de), Pampa Brass (www.pampabrass.com) and various other ensembles. He also works as an arranger and composer for these ensembles. His works and those of his father Enrique Crespo can be found in the music publishing house Lydke (www.lydke.de).
In Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, China, Italy, Spain, Colombia, USA, Costa Rica, Italy, Brasil, Rumania,Austria and Germany he worked as a soloist with various orchestras and enjoyed great public success. In 2019 he took part as an artist at the ITG (International Trumpet Guild) in Miami, USA, where he had several solo appearances. Since 2017 he is a member of the Eric Aubier Latin American Contest in Colombia together with Pacho Flores and Juan F. Avendaño. He is regularly invited to various Summer Brass Festivals around the world as a teacher and specialist lecturer.
Daniel has also been a professor at the ArgenBrass Brass Academy at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A large number of his students play in the most famous orchestras throughout Latin America or continue to teach his method successfully on site. It is also important to him to continuously improve the level of the young generation and to guarantee them a lasting and successful prospect of a successful life as a musician.
