Sapporo Symphony Orchestra player

Tuba player with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra. Part-time lecturer at Sapporo Otani University and Hokkaido University of Education, Iwamizawa. President of the Hokkaido Euphonium Tuba Association.Born in Chitose City, Hokkaido. After graduating from Tokyo College of Music, moved to the USA. He completed the Graduate Performance Specialist Course at Bowling Green State University on a full tuition scholarship, and studied at Pennsylvania State University for her Master's Degree there. First prize winner at the Harvey G. Phillips Competition 2000, MTNA Competition 2003 in Salt Lake City.He has participated in international music festivals such as the Kyoto International Music Student Festival, the Pacific Music Festival (PMF) and the National Repertory Orchestra (NRO).As a soloist, he has performed with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra and many other public orchestras; his 2015 solo recital as part of the 1355th Sapporo Citizens' Theatre won the Citizens' Art Grand Prize; his 2017 solo album CD 'Landscape' (COO-046) was released on COO-RECORDS (Record (Record Art magazine's semi-special mention).
