Buffet Crampon Deutschland GmbH is located in Germany's "Musikwinkel" ("Musicon Valley") – the Vogtland region. Unlike any other region, it looks back on a tradition of over 250 years in the development and manufacturing of musical instruments. This tradition continues to influence the entire company's activities to this day.

Gerhard A. Meinl, whose family has been active in the music industry for seven generations, founded the TA Musik group to acquire the former „VEB Blechblas- und Signalinstrumente“ in 1991. In 1994, Europe's most modern factory for brass instruments went into operation — a center of excellence in the art of musical instrument making and home to the quality brands B&S, Scherzer, and Hans Hoyer. Methods developed over the past centuries were combined with advanced manufacturing technologies. Through a finely tuned training program, the knowledge, experience, and skills of previous generations are passed on to the current and future production.

Today the company trades as Buffet Crampon Deutschland GmbH and is a world leader in multi-instrument groups. Especially in the two home markets of Germany and France, we are the leader for step-up and professional brass instruments. By meeting the highest artistic standards, our instruments have found their way into the world's most renowned orchestras. Thanks to strong and personal relationships with a variety of artists and musicians, we incorporate their professional knowledge and advice into our production process. This enables us to achieve optimal response and intonation, paired with a rich, full sound.
