Martin Hutter, born in 1986 in Esslingen am Neckar and raised in Wangen im Allgäu, is a versatile trumpeter rooted in both classical and jazz music. He began his musical training at the age of nine at the local music school in Wangen with Thomas Herz. After several national awards at the “Jugend musiziert” competition, he decided to pursue jazz trumpet studies—following in his father’s footsteps. Influential lessons with top trumpet players such as Thomas Vogel, Thomas Hammes, Prof. Andy Haderer, and Ingolf Burkhardt shaped his path. Since 2008, he has been a member of “Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten – Das Original” and co-founded the urban brass band MOOP MAMA in 2009. Since 2019, Martin has also been active in the family business HUTTER MUSIC, where he works as a label and marketing manager, bringing his creativity into the world of music production.
Starting at the age of 15, he took lessons from several renowned trumpeters, including Thomas Vogel (HR Big Band), Thomas Hammes (principal trumpeter of SWR), Prof. Andi Haderer (WDR Big Band), Ingolf Burkhardt (NDR Big Band), Bob Findley (James Last and Hollywood Studios), among others.
